Mumbai: The pirated version of the Windows 7 available in the internet might just be a beta version or RC version as per the Microsoft authorities.
As soon as a software update takes place, these the pirated versions crowd the internet like mushrooms these days.
A Microsoft spokesperson clarified that “The copies of counterfeit Windows 7 which we seized contained beta and RC (Release Candidate) versions of Windows 7. We are monitoring this situation”.
This might prove an important message for all those who have lined up for downloading or buying a pirated version of the much talked about windows operating system.
Windows 7 is the major release by Microsoft after its Vista failed miserably. Windows 7 home edition is priced at Rs. 6,799.
